Silver Source is an organization servicing Connecticut seniors. Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, they helped deliver groceries to seniors to facilitate social distancing and other safety measures. We helped deliver some groceries and folded origami pieces and crafts to put in some grocery bags.
We were given the opportunity to use our curriculum and teach elementary schoolers how to make origami centerpieces.
We donated a curriculum packet to the school and were able to go and teach first through fourth grade language classes, as well as art classes.
Partnering with the Peace Project, we went to the fifth grade classes and taught the students about the story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. We then taught them how to fold paper cranes themselves.

We went to this Los Angeles public school and taught kindergarten classes a bit of history about Japan and Origami and had them fold easy roses with stems! We also donated our curriculum packets and instructions to the school.
We implemented our middle school arts curriculum into this program to provide these underprivileged children in the Bronx with an enrichment activity that can help relieve stress and encourage teamwork.
We hosted origami workshops during the high school's Mental Health and Wellness Week to provide students with the opportunity to destress, relax, and take a break from the rest of the day.
We are currently planning to implement our origami curriculum at this San Antonio School into their 8th grade math classes by next year!
